As some people around St. Doms, and even some people in Bracebridge know, I have been accepted to be apart of "Rotary Youth Exchange" program this coming year. I am honoured and very privilaged to be an ambassador for not only the Rotary Club of Bracebridge, but also Canada. My host country is Denmark! I am so excited its hard for me to even put all of this into words. This type of exchange lasts for about one year, and has me living with different host families in Denmark. As of now I have little information about where in Denmark I will be staying and when I will be leaving. I know that I will be leaving Bracebridge mid-August, and will be returning to Canada, a little short of a year later. This trip is an amazing opportunity for me to experience at such a young age. I'll be 17 when I leave and I will have my 18th birthday while in Denmark. Last weekend, D7010 had a parent/student information weekend in North Bay. This was really great because I got more information about travel arrangements to Denmark and much more. On May 24 weekend I will be taking a 4 day trip to Ottawa with inbound and outbound exchange students and I'm really stoked. I'll try to update this blog when more information comes my way. It will be slow for a while, but getting closer to my departure, I will have more information and more experiences to share with you all.
Cheers,
Dillon
